The Essential Facts of Backgammon Strategies – Part Two

As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and good luck. The goal is to shift your chips safely around the game board to your home board and at the same time your opponent moves their chips toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player checkers heading in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at particular instances. Here are the 2 final Backgammon plans to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift her chips, the Priming Game tactic is to completely barricade any movement of the opposing player by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s pieces will either get hit, or end up in a damaged position if she at all attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to block the movement of your opponent, the opponent does not even get a chance to roll the dice, and you move your chips and roll the dice again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The goals of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game technique are similar – to hurt your opponent’s positions in hope to improve your chances of winning, but the Back Game tactic relies on alternate techniques to do that. The Back Game tactic is commonly utilized when you’re far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This plan is more challenging than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
